ABOUT OUR TOWN
A GREAT PLACE TO CALL HOME
Cradled between the Torch River and the North Saskatchewan River, and bordered by the breathtaking northern boreal forest, the Town of Choiceland is a vibrant and welcoming community in northeast Saskatchewan. Centrally located between Nipawin, Prince Albert, and Melfort, we’re the largest community in the region—offering both small-town charm and easy access to larger centres.

So Much to ExplorE
From Choiceland, adventure is never far away. Within a short drive on paved highways, you can reach four stunning regional parks:
-
Wapiti Valley to the south
-
Nipawin & Tobin Lake to the east
-
Narrow Hills Provincial Park & Hanson Lake Road to the north
-
Candle Lake Resort & Forest Preserve to the west
Heading north from town, you’ll connect with Highway 106, leading to pristine forests, clear lakes, and some of the province’s most scenic wilderness areas.
Special Small-Town Charm
Choiceland offers the peace and comfort of rural life with the convenience of essential services and nearby city amenities. Known for its clean water, beautiful scenery, and safe, friendly environment, Choiceland is the perfect place to raise a family, start a business, or simply enjoy a quieter way of life.

Agriculture, Forestry & Natural Resources
Farming is at the heart of our local economy. The fertile land around Choiceland produces high-quality cereal grains, pulses, and forage crops. We’re also located just 15 km from a rich kimberlite deposit within the Fort à la Corne Forest Reserve—an area known for its potential diamond development. Logging, tourism, hunting, and fishing also contribute to our diverse and growing economy.
Thriving Business Community
Choiceland is home to a wide range of retail, construction, agricultural, and transportation services, including nearly 25 craft and home-based businesses. We’re proud of our locally owned and operated Torch River Railway, which provides essential freight service to regional farmers and industries.
Behind much of our community’s success is the dedication of local volunteers, who organize cultural, educational, and recreational programming throughout the year for residents of all ages.

Strong Community Support
Choiceland may be small, but we’re big on community. Our town supports:
-
William Mason School (K–12)
-
Two active churches
-
Public library and community museum
-

-
Affordable senior housing
-
